We have been refining the ideas for what to do with the cabinets and placements in the kitchen. Mary and I both really like open shevling above to display nice pottery and other things. This is the current working plan for the north wall of the kitchen. The wall to the west is not drawn as it goes out at an angle, but will be left clear for some furniture, artwork or something similar. The shevles will be large (3x12) boards, hopefully to match the beams (shown as the black points near the top), and will be supported by cables dropped from the beams. Cooktop and oven will be oversized (40" wide) and the hood will be a clean lines stainless steel model.
