Satellite Image of Location

Some information from Mary about this image:
    The satellite is the Landsat Thematic Mapper, the image was acquired June 2000.
    The satellite image data are 15 meter, bands 7, 4, 2 which are the equivalent of shortwave-IR, near-IR, and green visible wavelengths, respectively.
    No, the golf course has not been modified, that is how fertilized and well watered grass "looks" from a productivity perspective - highly productive compared to conifers and sagebrush, the natural vegetation of the area.
    Black areas are water. Pink to bluish hues are areas relatively devoid of vegetation.
 

    So, you ask, just how does one do this... Well, here are some picture of Mary using the fancy differential GPS to get the coordinates of the lot as well as some other features, like the power pole, well location, etc. Then she downloads all this into her computer, does a few magic incantations and ....
